Default Crazed PM

I got a PM from what appears to be some crazy person. I didn't open it. The last time there was an occurrance of this, the "mods" said to forward it to them, so they can track down the author.

However, I don't know how to do a "forward". Can I do it without opening the PM?

Did you receive email notification of the PM containing the contents to know what it said?

There is no way to forward the PM without opening it but you can do a little trick to report it without opening it. Reporting the PM will notify the staff along with containing the contents of the PM.

Hover the mouse over the title of the PM you received. You'll notice a long number (private message ID) behind it. Copy/Paste that private message ID behind the following URL in your browser: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/priv...o=report&pmid=

OK, "JT", I'll keep that in mind for the future, as it appears that you've already snagged it from my inbox...

I did not access your PMs. What happened was another member reported a PM shortly after I replied to your message. As part of the way we deal with such reported PMs from this particular offender, we use the Delete Sent PMs By User feature, which means it deletes all copies in the system. So while the PM was deleted from your Inbox, we didn't access any PM box as it was done via the system.

Since it's missing from your Inbox, it means the person who reported it had received the PM from the same person who you was discussing in this thread.
