Has the mobile version changed or is my phone being wacky? If it changed is it finished? I'm not sure I like it. I used to be able to see an indication showing I had a post in a thread and thats gone now. Everything was working fine before. Why the change?

It seems that right now the only site on a phone you can view is the mobile site

It is optional. It's cookie-based. You'll need to delete the corvetteforum cookie. Specifically, it's the mobile_redirect cookie under corvetteforum.

One other thing to note is that if you try to refresh a page that is already displaying the mobile theme, or use a bookmark from the mobile theme, as shown by the URL ending in styleid=132, you'll get the mobile theme regardless of cookie status because the mobile theme is set as style id 132.

Default IOS 6 and Mobile

I just updated the IPhone today to IOS 6 and it no longer recognizes this site as mobile. No issues before IOS 6 on the same phone. Anyone else see the same thing??

Weird how there's no mention of it on the forum... I wonder how many users actually do mobile. I use it about 75% of the time I'm on CF.. I do like the way I can choose home, the section- like Help, or the actual thread now .. makes it easier to backtrack.

i cleared cookies, History, and cache this morning again. The front page looks normal but when you click into a section it goes to the mobile site. The default style button does not work.
One of the main things I dislike about the mobile site is that you can not see who started the thread.

Just had to log back in after 1 post. Another reason I dislike the mobile site. It continually logs me out.

Please make sure you're actually deleting the cookies. Some browsers have an option to prevent "favorites" from having their cookies deleted. You must delete the cookies (logging out is not enough) and you must make sure you're not trying to visit a URL on the mobile domain or with the styleid=132 behind the URL.

This option is cookie-based. There is a javascript that checks the browser and also checks to see if there is a cookie stored in your browser that indicates you accepted or declined the mobile theme. If the cookie is there, you get whatever theme you had last without any prompt. If the cookie is not there, you'll get a prompt asking you to accept or decline the mobile theme. This is the way it worked with the last mobile theme.

I'm not behind (as in not having developed) the mobile theme but I'll try to help address some of the issues as some are fairly easily fixable.

I've been using the mobile website for quite a while (m.corvetteforum.com....)

It looked fine until this aborted attempt to help it look better appeared in the past few days. It appeared out of the blue on another Internet Brands-owned forum of which I am a member.

It's annoying enough that I don't plan to continue using the forum from my mobile device.

Personally, I can't stand the mobile theme. I would rather try to navigate the original version of the site on my droid phone.

Now, when I hit normal version up at the top, it sends me to a page that says "Not found"

???

Will clearing cookies fix this??

I like the "new" mobile version.

Easier for me to navigate, although a few things like PMs, User CP (which Iuse to track my posts) are gone. But the overall nav is much better for me.
Nexus7, Android Jelly Bean.

Ive cleared everything and read from a droid 2. This new version looks like a site from 1999. Its terrible! Its just a big list. I want the old version that looks like the actual forums. Maybe im seeing something different. Its light blue and yellow with white backing and black letters. All the pics show up with option to view and nothing loads automatically. I declined to use the mobile version but it still takes me to this crappy site.

Can we get an admin to address this rather than speculate? Its so hard to navigate maybe it has been addressed. I cleared all passwords, cookies etc. No change once past login screen. And "default style" just says not found when i try it.

I cant even read anything and this is my taking a dump material. My bowels are suffering! Someone help!
