Default Issues with Forum

When on the forum, I have two issues.

First I get popups from vendors, are these authorizes now?

The main issue I have is not being able to "go back" one page.

Does anyone know why I would be having these issues. The forum is the only place I have them.

Please provide us with a screen capture of the pop-up ads and a click-through link.

Regarding the page back, what does your browser's history show? What exactly happens?

I will try to get a picture of the Popup when it happens.

As far as the back botton, Nothing happens, the only way to get off the page is to go to the top of the page and select the "corvette forum" text.

What browser are you using? You should be able to see the history in your browser's back button. Do you see duplicate entries? If you click the back button twice, do you go back one page?

I am running IE 8 and there is no history showing, as I turned that off. I can hit the back button as many times as I want and there is no effect. The only way out is to close IE.

I just remember, before I starting having this problem, I did have a pop screen that said something about over running a stack. I had this issue several times before the back button stopped working.

The back button functions based on your browser's history. In short, this is an issue with your browser and/or settings and it sounds like you're running custom settings.

I am not running custom setting in IE and this happen on three different computers and ONLY when I am logged into this forum. I see from other posting, that I am not the only one having this issue. See "Is anone else having forum site Problems" in the Help Forum section.

Therefore I find it VERY DIFFICULT to believe it is my browser. I did computer engineering and know how things work as I had to debug one of a kind computer system for Multi-million dollar contracts.

I have reviewed the other thread and have noted some have mentioned that the back browser button doesn't work and some have also noted that it does work. Therefore, it's mixed results.

The issue I took from the other thread is that the back button partially works as they said they get a refresh and the top headers reload but no content is shown below the headers. Is your issue the same? Or does the page not refresh at all? I read as the latter, which would be a different issue.

When you said you've disabled history, that is making custom settings and I'm not sure what else you've changed or what type of 3rd party programs you're running:

The function of the back button is browser based and based on history. It's also stored in the browser. But there are things that can impact how it works. As you've said, it worked until you seen a pop-up about "said something about over running a stack". Since you've said you're familiar with computers, do you know more about that?

I've attached two screen captures from IE and Firefox that show the back browser button does work with history shown.

Like yourself, I also have IE 8 and that's what's shown in my second attachment.

The "back" button works sometimes but then sometimes it gets into a condition and does not work. I thought at first maybe the mouse/pointer did not match the location on the screen. I worked with that thought but came to the conclusion that was not the case. After all it did the same thing on 3 different computers. It just simply would not work. I can click the forum Home and I go there immediately. Yesterday, the forum would not let me log on the reply. I logged in from the top of the page and then tried to respond to your input and it went to another Log on screen I had to exit the forum and then re-enter an logon before it would let me respond.

As far as the error message i got, I figured it was just another one of MS bugs and ignored it. I have not seen it again.

I too am getting popup ads on my iPhone. This began about a week ago. Is there a way to block these?
