Default The back button issue

Issue - when your back button doesnt work here.

Cause - There is an ad source here on the CF forum that is killing IE especially.

If when you have the issue you click the small down button next to the back/forward buttons you will see an endless stream of ads that are causing the issue.

In my case it's "view.atdmt.com/com/iview"

Yep, for me it's view.atdmt.com/IWC and it happens both on this forum, and the Aston Martin forum and on both forums it's been this Hyundai ad.

I don't know what's going on yesterday and today, but I've been fighting slow page loads, no page loads, page freezes, partial page loads and freezes, having to double and triple-click to make anything happen, etc. to the point where I've about given up. Restarts don't help - sometimes it occurs on the first thread I post to, and it doesn't quit. Win 7, IE9, just like always. What is it about this forum software that makes it so IE-unfriendly? This is the ONLY site where I EVER have any issues - every other site works like lightning, every time, every day.

I can't replicate the back button issues you are experiencing on my Windows machine with IE9 or Firefox, but the site does seem to be slower loading at times. I'll ask the tech folks to check.

Since I am anything but a "techy" I appreciate at least knowing why this is happening. Consistently this forum runs slower than any other I have been on, even small local forums. I wish Corvette forum cared enough about the members to resolve the technical issues that are in their control.
Like the link from the forums to the main CorvetteForum page! Where is it and why can't you get from the forums to the main home page!!!!
Sorry for the rant but it is concerning!

I replied to your thread regarding the link to the home page. In short there is one already but it's in the footer (bottom). The top navbar is sort of already well-populated with important links as well so it's not easy to stuff links in there. As I said in your thread, I believe there has been some effort to clean up the links.

Regarding the issue with IE, do you notice any specific (perhaps video/flash) ad that appears common to the freezing of webpage loads? Open the task manager and check your CPU load when you're experiencing the issue. Are you seeing high CPU loads when experiencing the issue?

Scroll to the very bottom of any page served by the forum and you'll see a similar "footer" with the link as shown in the attachment.

This is an older thread from last year that had been resolved.

It appears there may be a newer instance with the same problem. Since the thread linked below is the most current one, I think it would be best to stick with that thread:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/help...lick-back.html

We will investigate the issue.

Thanks
