There are a few articles on posting pictures. See article below:

You simply copy/paste the URL of the picture inside a set of IMG tags.
Regarding deleting past posts, as long as you're not trying to delete a first post of a thread, you go to Edit, Go Advanced Edit and then select the Delete option. You can't delete threads, but you can delete posts.
