Default Forum functionality question

Hello all,

Is there some type of language filter running on the forums? I looked in the User Control Panel and didn't see any settings unless I over looked them. For example, the word "k n o b" (I spaced it in case it didn't display correctly) shows for me as "****" (without the quotes). Thanks for any help offered.

/Tracy

There is a filter in place but **** is not on the filter. I searched the forum to see that **** has been used, and not filtered, in recent posts (as recent as today). Following is a post that used the word **** without it being filtered:

Are you sure it is the word ****?

Thanks for the reply JT. I just discovered that if I'm not logged in I see the word **** as **** but when I logged into to reply to you it shows as **** in your reply. Sometimes I view the forums without logging in so that must be the culprit. Thanks!

Thanks for the additional information. I'll look further into this issue with that information. I don't know why that word would be filtered so it could be a bug or typo.

Thanks.
