When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
I submitted a post and the word "bank" got generated with a hyperlink to Ebay . I edited the post - deleted the word and retyped it - and the link went away. I then saw another post where the words "ballot box" were a hyperlink to Ebay.
I've never noticed this. New? Can it be disabled?
Edit: when I first submitted this post, "Ebay" in the first line was a hyperlink. I retyped it and it went away. I pretty sure I haven't done anything on my end to cause this.
Edit 2: I come back and hour or so later and "bank" and "Ebay" are links.

I've been seeing this too and it's extremely annoying. It's hard to tell what the poster has linked and what the ads are. Please remove this type ad.
Also to note, how does a supporting vendor feel when their ad is hijacked? Look at this post from a supporting vendor:
Which link is from them and which one is hijacked? Some links go to bizrate.com as well. I just viewed a thread from LG where they were selling radiators. The words LG Super Cool Radiators was hijacked and was linking to something on bizrate.com.
I found both posts referenced above but could not duplicate the issue while logged in as a normal account or while logged out. For the thread by vengeance racing, that was the only thing I seen linked and was normal for their own post.
Attached is the post I believe that you, redred65cpe, was referring to (that contains bank) and I don't see any linking within the post while viewing without any plugins.
Not saying the issue doesn't exist, but we need more information.
Not happening now. My original post in question is now "clean". And it wasn't just Ebay links, Ebay was just the destination for one that I followed. Some clothing site was another link. I've seen this feature on other sites. Maybe somebody inadvertently turned it on here.
