Default global title search won't clear

I did a global search of all titles across all sections of corvetteforum containing "Corvette Nation," a recent show on the Velocity Channel.

The results were accurate, but now, every single thread I read or post to displays the words Corvette or Nation in the body bold and in red.

I tried clearing cache, logging out of corvetteforum & back in, closing & reopening my browser (firefox,) even rebooting, but they still show up in red.

I opened and signed in on IE and have no problem. How do I stop seeing red every time I see the word Corvette in any thread??

ps: I even see the words in red in this post!!!!!

I've not heard this issue and can't duplicate it in Firefox. Are you running addons? The method used is through clicked links that add an instruction to hightlight the words using CSS. So it sounds like a possible cache issue. I'd make sure you're deleting all cache. I don't believe this is any cookie issue, but I'll add that logging out does not clear all forum cookies.

Fixed. First I chose to clear just corvetteforum.com cookies. That didn't work.

Then here's what I did:

Under Options - Privacy - Clear recent history - Time & range - I selected Last 4 hours.

I chose:
  • browsing & download history
  • form & search history
  • cookies
  • cache

I closed, then reopened firefox. After that, the problem was solved.

Thanks.
