Default Login Issue

Ever since the site was redesigned, my login is not remembered. I have to login each time I come here. I have cleared the cookies and I did the Control F5 and it still has not helped.

Any idea what I can do to correct this issue?

If you're clearing all cookies in your browser and CorvetteForum is bookmarked or marked as a favorite, you'll need to make sure the checkbox for "Preserve Favorties" is not selected. Otherwise deleting cookies in your browser won't touch any data for websites you have bookmarked or marked as a favorite. Logging out is not the same as deleting all CorvetteForum cookies. Once you've deleted all CorvetteForum cookies, revisit the website, make sure Remember Me is selected, then log in. If this doesn't fix, then the issue is either 3rd party software deleting the cookie or you have your browser set to delete cookies upon exit.

Well I had the Preserve Favorites website data, Temp Internet Files, Cookies and website data, History and Password all checked. I hit the delete button. I then went back and unchecked the Preserve Favorites as well as Cookies and Passwords. I still have to login in each time. I never had this issue before the redesign and I have not added any new programs.
What should I try next?

I would recheck the steps I outlined as it's a cookie issue in your browser. If it were on the server side, everyone would have the issue non-stop.

I have the same issue. It's not happening with any other of my web sites. Just the CF.

Please make sure to follow the instructions as follows:

If you're continuously getting logged out, you may need to delete all CorvetteForum cookies. Please note that logging out does not clear all CorvetteForum cookies. Some browsers allow you to singly delete cookies while others require you delete them all - even for other websites.

Once you've deleted all CorvetteForum cookies, revisit the website, make sure Remember Me is selected, then log in.

The above will fix the issue unless your browser is deleting cookies upon exit, you have 3rd party security software deleting cookies, you're blocking cookies, or all of the above steps wasn't performed to delete the corrupt cookie.

Note that websites use their own cookies and it's normal from time to time for cookies to become corrupt. Since there are so many cookies in used, per website, the issue typical is only experienced on one website at a time whenever a corrupt cookie issue appears.

So JT, if I do everything you say and it continues, then what. That's where I'm at.

If you did every single step and the issue continues, then it's either your browser deleting cookies upon exist, cookies are being blocked by your browser or some 3rd party security software, or some 3rd party security software is deleting them (or you are). You need to make sure you followed everything in the article I wrote above. Any shortcuts or errors and the issue could continue.

While nearly everyone had their session deleted (meaning most had to log back in with their username and password) when the new theme/style was introduced on 12/17/13, that was a one-time occurrence. If this was on the server side, every single member would continue to have the issue. That simply is not the case.
