Wondering if there is some other optional alert for PM's? The only alert I get is in my email. As far as when I'm logged on to TCF if I don't notice it up there in the welcome box I may not see it for day's. I belong to other on line forum's and they have a pop up box that appears on screen when you log on to let you know there's a PM in your box. Any ideas?

That feature was disabled a few years ago, globally, and is why it is not available on CF. I believe it was done for load concerns to have instant notification available for all active members. Some vBulletin features don't scale as well as others with larger databases and activity.

Globally meaning it's disabled on this forum for all members.
So if it's disabled globally why is it still on other websites? I'm not a web designer by any means but it does make sense to me that if you can make that tiny number 1 or however many PM's you have in your box appear, then I think they could also make something else a bit larger so we wouldn't miss it. But then on the other hand maybe it has bad valve guides.
