I do seem to see some members posts that have a signature, though the bulk don't.
I've used PHBBS Boards before and have already changed my avatar. I wanted to add a small picture of my car as well as text. I've already set up the text. It shows in the preview, and has been saved.
It doesn't seem to show up when I post though. I'm curious if this is something that's enabled once you have been on the boards long enough, or is it something else?

Administrators have asked that signatures be reduced to only one-time, per thread, per poster. This is to avoid unnecessary cluttering of a thread with redundant signatures.
Whenever you desire your signature to appear, you'll have to manually enable the Show Signature option whenever you post:
