Default Maximum post length changes?

I just tried to edit the post linked below, and the editor cut out about 1/2 of the post. Is there a new maximum length, and is there any way around this? I hate to make the list a PDF and link it, but if that's the only option...

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ppet-oils.html

Thanks!

You don't have a post linked in your post for reference. Without knowing more details, I suspect an editor issue.

My error; original post updated and below.

It's consistent - and the editor is part of vBulletin, so...?

The settings show there is no maximum characters per post. Additionally, you should have received an error message warning of that issue if it did happen.

I was able to add extra lines to your referenced post. Can you try it again? If so, and if it doesn't work, please let us know the editor you're using (found in the UserCP) the browser and browser version you're using.

The editors on CorvetteForum have been, over the years, refined and improved by Internet Brands to allow advanced features so it may be a bug. But we need more information and steps to replicate it to investigate.

Thanks, J T.

There was no error; it simply saved the post drastically truncated.

I luckily keep a local copy - I just cut-and-pasted using the standard editor and it truncated as the post shows now.

Did the same with the Advanced editor and had exactly the same results.

I then tried posting the remainder right where the post is getting cut off and it failed to add a single character.

Then I removed a "less than" sign - and this resolved the issue. It seems in playing with it a bit that the less than character will intermittently truncate the post - consistently if followed directly by a period.
