Problems with Corvette Forum

It is taking forever to load a thread and forget scrolling! I usually get so frustrated I just "X" off the site altogether. I keep getting the "site not responding" OS message because it is so slow on my computer!
This may have something to do with the McAfee software because it gives me the message "We tested this page and blocked content that comes from potentially dangerous or suspicious sites. Allow this content only if you're sure it comes from safe sites." I don't get this message with any other site I visit. I am not going to turn off my firewall for Corvette Forum because, although I trust Corvette Forum, there are advertiser links, embedded videos, etc throughout the threads.
I also occasionally get the message "shockwave crashed". I don't know what this means, but it does not sound good.
No other site I visit has this problem.
Does anyone else have this trouble or a solution? I hate to leave the site, but it is getting to be too much of a PIA to read any thread.
You could start by making sure Shockwave is up to date:

Shockwave is not required to use CorvetteForum.
Site not responding is similar to the above. It doesn't really tell exactly what is occurring. It could be related to the shockwave issue or it could be McAfee. You have to understand that when you run a layer of software, especially for security, it comes with negatives - such as performance issues and other things (blocking good content, etc.). You have to find the right balance between being able to use your computer normally and also have some protection.

I apologize.
