Leaving aside the possibility that I am stupid, a distinct possibility, but the search function appears to be broken.
Last night, on my tablet, I attempted to locate a thread that had "14%" in it, and that came up blank. This morning, on my laptop, I tried "near me" and "near", both using advanced search and both returned no results. I just tried using the generic forum search (upper right hand side of the page) and again, no results.
I know the above character strings exist, so... Is it me, or is it Memorex.
Search is working correct at this time. You can't search for common words, and near is one of those. I believe that has been the case for many years. With 51 million posts, the frequency of those words being used is pretty high and would not return manageable results.
You could try using Google's search with the strict phrase "near me", but with 51 million posts, that's probably going to turn up many times.
