why

why is this stupid 'ask question' on my computer screen? it's blocking my access to the forum and can't delete because top of block is not on screen.

Hit <CTL> and <-> (minus sign) keys at the same time and see if the 'block' is shrunk enough to reach the symbol to close it...

Because you're not logged in? It appears for all Guests who are not logged in. It's there because a lot of people do not know how to post a question or join to post a question.

The solution is to log in or stay logged in.
