large photos

Default large photos

Why are my photos so large when i post them? I'm emailing to myself and saving them to my photos folder on a mac. when i email the i resized it to medium but they still post large.

The posted photos will be scaled to allow to fit within the margin as long as you're using a modern, supported, browser and no 3rd party plugins that alter the appearance or functionality of the website. If you're seeing a horizontal scroll bar because the image isn't scaled, it's because your browser isn't properly scaling.

As you can see in my attachment viewing your (this) thread, the photo is scaled by my browser from instructions on CorvetteForum. Your picture is 1,494px × 2,656px but being scaled to fit my display.

The software does not edit the photos, merely instructs your browser to scale them to fit.

If you actually want photos resized, you need to use a photo editing tool to resize them.

Thank you for the response J T and please excuse my naivety, but how do i go about getting this photo editing tool? Is this something I add to the MAC, from apple? I'm new to posting and know my pics are large compared to everyone else's but looking to conform. Thanks for any help.
