I keep getting a pop up window about a "Security Alert", says something about the "safety certificate" being out of date for these forums
I just click on the X a few times and it goes away but wondering if any others are seeing this, moderators ???
Thanks

I sometimes see something similar when I'm at work and using their wi-fi. I haven't seen it on these forums. Are you seeing it across multiple devices and/or multiple sources of internet service?

I've not ever seen anything like that.
Maybe if you hold on long enough, the forum fathers will create a HELP forum for problems like this.

I haven't seen that here but I have seen it elsewhere. It comes from fly-by-night companies placing ads on a web site and the site owners not bothering to check who is buying ad space on their site. The popup comes from your web browser warning you that it is trying to load an ad from an unverified location such as a Macedonian content farmer's teenage son.
The solution is to block all the ads. I see several ads that come directly from Internet Brands (the owners) if I am not logged in which has occurred several times in the past week. Once I log in most of those disappear and I block all the rest with a HOSTS file - http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm
No. However 3 or 4 days ago I had to sign in everytime I opened up the forum. I always stay signed in.

The first thing to try when you get signed out automatically and you shouldn't be is to clear the cookies for the site and start over. How to do it? -- depends on what browser you're using.
With Firefox, to clear ONLY Corvette Forum cookies:
- right-click on a CF page
- go down to "View page info" and open
- click the big padlock on the top labeled "Security."
- click "View cookies" on the right side
- click "Remove all shown" then "Close"
- Sign on
OK I just logged out but only from the forums, we'll see
The window that pops up says the s
Security Certificate has Expired, maybe its my server ??? if I say continue it still takes 4-5 clicks to get it to go away.
Thanks

Other browsers are probably similar.
Thank you. At least in my case I know this wasn't the cause. I have a vast background in computers, especially computer security and clear all cookies, as well as other files, every time I close my browser.
In regard to having to log in last week, that was a normal event as the sessions were cleared/reset. That doesn't happen often but whenever it does happen it causes all logins to be invalidated and thus requiring a new login for every member. There was another such occurrence a few weeks prior, too, which was related to last week's.
