Default Multi-quote?

How do you quote several posts in a thread in your post to that thread?

Please forward answer to my private messages.

You simply use the button for each post you want to quote. Then use the button when ready.

Tried it that way with no apparent success. The above is the result of using the "multi quote" button on the first post, then the "reply with quote" on the second one?

Why do you call it no apparent success? The post had shown your quote and my quote. That is a multi-quote process. See attachment below.

JT,

Not intending to argue, but I tried your original instruction and it did not work. Then tried a second different approach as indicated above, and it worked (as you are showing in your last post). Then I could not get either approach to work.

Maybe you could re-explain for us slow learners.

There are two methods to make it work. The way I explained it previous and the way you indicated. Both methods do the same. Also, this only works on one thread at a time. You can't multi-quote posts that are not in the same thread.

1) Click on the for each post you want to quote.
You will notice the icon changes to to indicate it has been selected.
2) Click on the button to begin your response

Alternatively:
1) Click on the for each post you want to quote.
You will notice the icon changes to to indicate it has been selected.
2) Click the of the last post you want to multi-quote to begin your response.

It's really that simple.

This is also briefly noted in the FAQ from the software team:

Aha! I was not getting the solid red button consistently, even if I double clicked trying to make it go red? Thanks. I knew it could not be my fault. lol

I did it. I had some "script" blocked on my computer not allowing me to activate the appropriate features. Thanks.
