Default Email Address Change

I'm trying to change my e-mail address in the "edit e-mail" tab and keep going around and around in circles. I change and confirm the new e-mail and it says I haven't put in my "password". I put in the password that I have always had (and BTW, just logged in with) and it says "the password doesn't match" and around I go again.
Of course there's no number that I can call to help me, so I'm thinking of just unsubscribing to the forum. It's a shame, I've been a member for 4 years now but it looks like I have no choice.
Has anyone ever changed their email before?

"Password doesn't match" is also an error you receive if you type a *new* password into the "New Password:" field and it doesn't match the "Confirm New Password:" field.

In other words, it's possible you're using the method to change the password on the account by mistake.

You should be supplying your current password in the "Enter your present password to continue:", which is the first field, if you want to simply change your email address.

You are required to supply your password if you change your email address on your account. If that security check weren't enabled and if you left your session open on a computer, then there is nothing stopping someone from taking over your account who can access your computer.

Yes, a lot of members change the email address on their account. Including myself.

Lastly, why would you have to unsubscribe from the forum because there is no posted phone number? By large, websites like CorvetteForum (community-based) only use Email as a method of contact. The Administrators and Moderators here are volunteer based and aren't in a call center. There are 3 main methods of contact with issues like yours:

1) Posting in this Help section (which you did)
2) Using the Contact Us link that appears at the bottom of every page:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/sendmessage.php
3) Sending PM to one of the Administrators or Moderators. A list of these people can be found using the View Forum Leader link at the bottom of the page.

On more note. We can also manually update your account with your new email address. However, that should not be necessary as the system is working correctly. If you're not able to do so through the normal, automated, method then you're either incorrectly entering your password or you're using the wrong fields as described above.

Edit: Attached is a screen capture using our TestAccount (an account with same permissions as a typical member). After changing the email address and supplying the current password for the account, the Attachment shows the next screen verifying the update (email address change).
