Default Navigating in the new format (ugh)

How do you navigate to the last post in a thread? If I hit Ctrl-End it moves down but not to the last post. It is hard to find the last post in a topic. Same for getting to the first post when you are deep in the thread. Before I could click on a page number but they're gone now.

Somewhat related:
I seem to remember seeing a button on each thread that said "last read" or "first unread" or something like that. Takes you right to the first email not read. Is that still on threads? I can't see it.
Thanks

Yes, button is still there and never left. See attachment. It only appears if there is new content for particular thread. That feature has not been changed in some years.

^ ^ ^
Ok thanks. I see it now, but it's only in the list of subscribed threads, correct? That is, once you open a particular thread, is there any way to zoom to the first unread post?
