Every so often I click a thread link and get sent to this Disneyland or an Amazon Winner webpage, where I’m stuck and I have to close the browser tab. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue?
I use my iPad 99% of the time, with the Safari browser. I have also seen this happen when I’m on my work laptop, and using Google Chrome. It’s frustrating, especially when I am viewing searched results. Just wondering where to start looking for the issue, so if it’s a public issue, I won’t concentrate on my equipment, but rather start with Charter or the Disneyland URL.
This explanation says that it’s a bad ad on the web page that I’m viewing. That some spammer code has been slipped into the web page and does the redirect. I’d say it’s the host for the corvette forum maybe?

A thread in the Canadian Events section (race the runway) has a link to a car event that when clicked occasionally gets redirected to a Toronto sex hookup site. Is that a 301 redirect?

I'd have to Click on it to see.
But if you look in the ADDRESS bar and the original URL redirects to another address then most likely it is a 301.

Definitely not malware for this issue. No bugs involved. Both my iPad and Work PC are super clean. I used to be an IT guy.
It's most likely then a 301 redirect.
I use it for Facebook, IG and Twitter.
99% are harmless, but some aholes want to infect your computer or send you to some BS site.
Happened last year with Bank of America. some ahole bought a Domain like bankofamerica1(dot)com then when people clicked on it forwarded (301) them to a site that looked identical to their website, BOA.
People then entered their User Id & Password then it got stolen by these aholes who live in Romania & Russia.
They almost got me once, and I'm a pro at this ****.

I have Malware installed and for fun just after I made my post I went and clicked on the link; twice in a row it went to a sex site. Just now it went to the correct racetherunway.com site. It really is an odd redirect.
