Default Can't send e-mails Private or e-mail!

I just realized I can't send e-mails, and don't know where to go correct this, been trying and clicking on everything in the User and nothing helps.

Can you fixed it, never had the problem last year, I guess went to the system some items were not reset properly.

Please if you can't do it, can you send instructions to e-mail!

Funny thing is I get notifications to my old e-mail address from the corvetteforum, and what they send there, they don't send my present address.

Thanks

Your account appears normal with normal privileges.

What do you mean by not being able to send email? The only email option that is processed by the forum is the email option on each member's page. However, not all members have the email option turned on. You will not be able to contact a member via email if they have it turned off and has been the case for years.

However, again, your accounts appears normal with normal privileges like the majority of the members.

If I send to my Mail box it never arrives, and checked Spam with nothing in the folder.

This also when sending doesn't show sent!

1) Your account has "Receive Private Messages only from Contacts and Moderators" set to Yes. So only Staff and those on your Contact list can email you. The forum did not change those settings. It's in your UserCP and Edit Options

2) When using the Email method, you are not given the option to save a copy. It will not show a copy in your Sent PM folder since Email and PM are two different things. This was not changed and has been the function for atleast the last 5 years.

3) Email notifications are working correctly. Confirm your email address on your account is correct. If it is, then your email provider (Yahoo) is filtering your email without your knowledge. CorvetteForum has no control over if, when or how an email provider delivers the email that is attempted to be sent from CorvetteForum's servers. Since you are Yahoo's customer, you will need to contact them to find out why they are filtering your emails without your knowledge or direction.

Ok, changed my address, but don't understand what I need to check on what you mentioned so anybody can e-mail me and send out the same.

I know I am pain, cause I don't understand edit options list confusing to me, I want who ever wants to contact me let them.

Sorry to bother you, but going to sleep, tired.
Thank you

PS I can see I can e-mail me, so I know something works. I guess Yahoo blocked it!

To help protect the community against Spam and Scammers, new members do not have immediate access to send Private Messages until they've become "established" members. We cannot disclose exactly what an "established" member is, as that would help defeat the measures put in place for the community, but know that it's fairly easy to do so if you use the site for its intended purpose. At a certain point, the system will then automatically upgrade the account with Private Message permissions.

This type of policy is not only not specific to this site, it's not uncommon.

As you're a new member today, the above is the explanation. However, it appears you recently gained PM access.
