How About an Update?

This is a pretty common feature at most other auto-related sites I use regularly.
Seems like most would know if they've posted in the wrong forum, for example, or simply change their mind on a post, instead of waiting for a mod or admin to do this trivial task.

Different sites have different ways of operating-working with different rules-guidelines. What works for one or two sites doesn't necessarily mean it will work for another site. Although members may not always agree 100% with how things operate and the rules, which goes for any site, each site develops their own way of operating and doings things. That's part of what makes the site different.
Staff are involved on a regular basis to help with such moderation tasks - just as any other site.

Thanks for the response but that didn't really answer my question.
Of course I realize that "Different sites have different ways of operating-working..." I said so in my second sentence.
Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my question.
Is this simply management issue or would it mean a major re-write of the system in order to offer this feature?

I've been working with forums for nearly 20 years. In my own experience, it is much more common to not have this option enabled.
