It acts the same with and without add block disabled.
I use Firefox myself and it works correctly. It's not working for you because you have another plugin - specifically something blocking scripts. You'll need to disable the plugin, find a way around the issue, or continue using the plugin while accepting that it will break things. We, and most similar sites like CF, can't really support software that alters the appearance and/or functionality of the site.

These are my only plug in apps. Which one do you not use?
You could disable each of them, one at a time, and determine which is causing the issue. You could also disable them all in Safe Mode. If you did so, you'd find the feature you're reporting will work once you disable the correct Extension and/or use the Safe Mode.
It's really impossible for us to go through each of one's plugins/extensions/software to say what does and doesn't work. We can only design/develop/troubleshoot for the major browsers and how they come "out of the box". When one uses software that alters the appearance and/or functionality of websites, it's really up to them to either make it work or accept that it may break things. I don't mean to sound as bad as it probably sounds, but you will find that any site like CF would have the same policy. It even extends to the real world and using products with aftermarket parts that may not be compatible.
If you've made it this far. I'll give you the answer. In your case, it's DuckDuckGo.
BTW, you're in California. To comply with California's new privacy laws, a few things had to be changed on CF to comply with the new laws. That, indirectly, may be why this issue you're reporting has suddenly appeared. DuckDuckGo must be blocking something and thus breaking some of the website's functions. Again, we can't support or fix something like that as it's a fault of a 3rd party program doing something to alter the appearance and/or functionality of a website.
Jeremy, I think the problem is that the OP has so many photos in his gallery album that you can't load the album to make edits before a timeout occurs.

Jim, I investigated the issue to find the issue the OP is reporting is the DuckDuckGo extension is not allowing the tools to load and work correctly.
I won't dismiss that there could be a secondary issue. But the aforementioned is the primary concern and the extension needs to be disabled in order for the tools to load.

No, there is no such tool to delete in multiple quantities.

Are these related issues?
These items you mention is an account issue that sometimes occurs if your albums contain pictures that are determined to be inappropriate. It also puts a, unintended, lock on the album and prevents future uploads. The latter is a bug that is being addressed but I have no timeline on that.

My OP request was due to a request to delete an image posted sometime in the past year, the first request I have received (for an image posted months or more back in time, and may have already deleted). When I tried to access the folder, the folder was missing, just like today. When the folder access was restored it would not let me search for the image and/or work the delete icon (preventing me from finding the image and complying with the delete request). I disabled the extension as requested, but could not find the image to delete, prompting the bulk delete question.
How may I comply with the image delete request unless I have folder access and the delete icon works?
.
CF & IB has permission to delete offensive images.
If any images are offensive, why are they not deleted by the system when flagged?

As we discussed previously, the delete icon does work but it apparently doesn't work with certain extensions that alter the appearance and/or functionality of a website. You're using an extension that does just that - alters the functionality of a website. When someone uses software that alters the appearance and/or functionality of a website, they have to accept that it may break things and that the website might only not support the use of such software, but they may have no control over the software that is altering the website. Similar to how modifying the computer of a car is likely not going to be supported by the manufacturer of the car when something doesn't work correctly. You need to disable the DuckDuckGo extension for the delete icon to work.
Regarding access to the folder, as I noted, that is a bug with the software that is being resolved.

I think the simple answer is there are limitations and having pictures deleted simply due to a flag can create an entirely new complaint. The notice is part of a legal notice. Laws require certain notices. Each site within the network has their own community with rules and guidelines that slightly differ but, of course, the parent company has final when it's necessary.
I deleted the DDG extension when you recommended it. I can delete from my smaller albums, just not the large album with the image of the delete request.
The folder access problem also restricts linking images from other websites.
