Default Macbook Help

Ever since I rejoined the forum (I had a 2015 C7) I get the spinning beach ball a LOT. Force quitting doesn't help. It's making using the forum difficult as I need to keep closing the tab (I use Safari on a Mac laptop) and re-opening it. I tried using Chrome and there were no problems so it's down to Safari.

Corrupt page or cookie. Clean it out! Could try a CTRL F5 for a "hard" refresh. Still probably a cookie or page.

There have been some reports with Safari locking up on CorvetteForum and sister sites within the network. To date, we've not gotten enough data or direction as to where the issue may be and the amount of reports is low. I suspect that it could be a specific ad that might be causing the issue. Or there is 3rd party software that may be causing certain conditions to all align to result in the issue.

If you can identity a particular ad that would appear whenever the page locks, that isn't there when the page doesn't lock, that may help if it is an ad.

Does it work when browsing the forums without being logged in? Also, you might try the Disable Infinite Scroll and the Disable Related Threads in the UserCP under Edit Options to see if there is a conflict with Safari there.

This is the reply I sent to the email you sent me that said "J T has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Macbook Help - in the Help Forum forum of CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion."

I’m now having difficulty logging in this morning. I open a new tab in Safari and type in https://www.corvetteforum.com. Sometimes it locks up and I can’t click on Log In; other times I can and the login window opens but I can’t type in my information; when I can finally login to the page that displays the 'Developing the First C8 cat-back exhaust,' it either locks up or I get the spinning beach ball. The ONLY way I can access the forum is by using Chrome.

Having said that, I clicked on the link to this thread that was in the email you sent to me and for some reason I
could login and reply. After submitting this reply, I'm going to see if I can access the rest of the forum without getting the spinning ball or locking up.
