Got an adblocker running? Usually an over zealous blocker will knock out the javascript files and css........did you try another browser to see if it was specific to a browser or not?
Sometimes when I click on a thread the page looks like this and I can't see anyone else comments or replies.

It started doing this a few weeks ago so I haven't changed any ad blockers.
Thanks though.
This is not an issue with the website but instead with your browser - most likely your 3rd party add-ons that you indicated you have. Could be a cache issue but less likely. Even if you didn't change your 3rd party add-ons, they are updated in the background and done so fairly frequently. It's possible an update resulted in this issue. I'd suggest you first clear the browser's cache. That's not likely to fix the issue. Next, disable the 3rd party add-ons. It's either a configuration issue or a bug with the 3rd party add-ons you're using.
We can't provide support for browsers using 3rd party add-ons that alter the appearance and/or functionality of the website.
Looking again at the screen capture, it almost doesn't look like a blocked/filtered CSS or javascript alone as it looks to possibly be some reader mode. I believe reader mode can be activated automatically, per website, on Safari so that might be it. Either way, this is most likely an issue with the browser, or more so the environment and settings, and so our supported is very limited when the issue is not originating from the website or is due to abnormal browser configuration or additional software that alters the appearance and/or functionality.
