Joined but cannot access private message

Hello,

I joined the forum today and am interested in contacting a seller of a Vette to inquire about a purchase. However, I have no access to the PM function. Suggestions?

To help protect the community against Spam and Scammers, new members do not have immediate access to send Private Messages until they've become "established" members. We cannot disclose exactly what an "established" member is, as that would help defeat the measures put in place for the community, but know that it's fairly easy to do so if you use the site for its intended purpose. At a certain point, the system will then automatically upgrade the account with Private Message permissions.

This type of policy is not only not specific to this site, it's not uncommon.

We encourage new members to take some time to browse around the site and read the Announcements and Stickies as they contain important and frequently asked information.
