Recently lost brake lights, license light, and courtesy lights on my 57. Still had tail lights, turn signals, parking lights, and head lights. Checked fuses and they were all okay. Took headlight switch out to see if there was a disconnected wire and found the contact point for brake and courtesy lights had broken.(See red arrow on diagram)
Used jumper wire to check and found this cured the problem immediately. Unusual place to have a break but the car is over 60 years old. Have ordered new headlight switch. Simple fix but hard to figure out. Hope this helps someone else, appreciate all the help the forum has given me.
