High Ammeter readings
1962 Vette 327/250, basically stock car, new battery last month. Out of the blue, my ammeter is no longer coming down to "O" (or just barely to the right of it) as it always has up to yesterday. Battery is fully charged, car starts right up, nothing on. Ammeter seems to be working, goes negative on start the goes to right for charging, but only comes back to 12-15 amps. Voltage regulator???? Did have the car in the shop for a front disc brake conversion (getting old, couldn't take the drum brakes any more), very happy with the brakes, nothing I see related to the ammeter issue.... Any thoughts / help appreciated!
Thanks in advance
