How do I insert a members ID/link into a post?

You type the @ then start type the member's name. You will get a drop-down menu where the member's name should appear if there's a match.

It's part of the tag system. If the member being tagged has it enabled, they are notified that they were mentioned.

If you're using a mobile version of CF like me, it can be annoyingly slow for that @ drop-down menu to appear. I sometimes have to go back and re-enter the @username several times to get it. Just don't give up if it doesn't always come up.
