Pop up ads.
Is it just me, or have the banner ads become more and more invasive lately? I realize that running this site costs money and requires some sort of external funding, but come on admins, there's got to be a better way than banner ads. When I have to close 3 or 4 banner ads, PER PAGE, in order to read a thread, it becomes very frustrating and takes away from the enjoyment I used to get from coming here for information, inspiration and witty banter. I have no issues with the static ads whatsoever as they are not as invasive to my being able to enjoy this site, but the banner ads really have to go. When I first noticed them I seriously thought that the site had been hacked, because a similar situation happened on another site's forum page. If this site needs revenue that badly, I'm sure that members would step up and donate funds to help out, as would I, all you have to do is ask. I've found that running "uBlock Origin" will reduce many if not asll pop up ads anywhere on the internet.
