Default Newbie needs some help please..

Hi to everyone,
I sadly I don’t own a Vette. I’m trying to do an LS swap and I love manual transmissions.
I will try to make this long story short. Everyone I’ve talked to that doesn’t own the same vehicle I want to swap into is telling me I need a 6 speed Tremec. But every person who’s done an LS swap into the vehicle I’m doing is saying that 6th gear is about useless because it’s geared so tall. I’m still getting people who are telling me I need a tall Over Drive. So I purchased a new old stock Tremec. And the one I purchased is still geared to tall. The vehicle that the Tremec TKO was purchased to go into was a 2nd generation Vette and many other older GM models. I purchased it and a different shifter for my application. But the gearing is just too tall.
I’m not a member here so I asked a question if it would be ok to list and sell the transmission here. An “Administrator” by the name of Jason said it was Ok. But now I’m getting questioned. Sadly I absolutely cannot find the messages from myself to this Administrator and or Jason or as I call them Moderators or mods?
So does anyone here know who Jason is or his Screen Name? I apologize for this I’m not trying to cause any trouble, I just wanted to show that I asked permission before listing the transmission for sale here. I don’t want to break any rules.

sincerely,
Randy aka Hayrider

I can't imagine that @IB Jason would have engaged him on whether he can sell his Tremec transmission at Corvetteforum, but it really doesn't matter. If he has registered on the site and wants to sell the transmission, he's entitled to do so.

Randy, some members may ask questions along the way that I encourage you to answer to the best of your ability. The more details you can provide and the more you can establish yourself within the community, the more likely prospective buyers will show interest. As is, your sale is not against any rules in and of itself, as @savewave noted.

Hope this helps!
Hey Buddy,
I fully understand being a Newbie then posting something up for sale right away doesn’t look the best and many forums require a new members a certain amount of post or time on. That’s why I asked for permission as I don’t want to cause any trouble I want people to trust me because as I said it’s just not worth the hassle of trying to hide & run. That’s not my style
To all the administration and moderators I want to thank each one of you for wanting to protect the membership. Trust me I fully understand!
Now any of you guys want to buy a new Tremec TKO 5 speed Hahaha… ( I can be a smart @$$ sometimes just not a thief )

And Jason thanks again I really appreciate you for stepping up here.

Edit* Now I am absolutely not trying to get anyone in trouble because like I said I respect the management protecting the community, but could someone please ask (sorry I don’t know how to post a screen name correctly) “vettebuyer6369” to unlock my for sale listing please!

Thanks!

Randy

Already did… after I spoke with him and I found that he was real I reopened the thread. Like Jim, I was confused by him referencing an Administrator named Jason and asked for more info.
