I need some help with my 2005 Corvette, my horn works intermittently I have replaced the fuse checked the wires and still I can't diagnose the problem. Sometimes when I get out the car and with no warning the horn blows after automatically locking. I checked the settings to see if I had done anything to turn off the horn but everything was fine. I check the continuity of the wires to the horn and it was fine as well. Help
3 blows of the horn after you've got out of the car and it has locked the doors says that you're staying too close to the car for too long after it's locked up. The car 'thinks' that you've left the fob in the car and it's warning you about it.
1st paragraph on page 3-70 of your owner's manual:
FOB Reminder: This option chirps the horn three times
when the driver’s door is closed and there is a keyless
access transmitter inside the interior of the vehicle. This
will only occur when the vehicle is off
And this thread should have been posted in the C6 General section of the forum, not here.

Hello, this Help section is for Help with the CorvetteForum website (account issues, etc.,) and is not the place to post technical questions about Corvettes, or other questions not related to the website, as they will not be seen by other Corvette owners.
Instead, please find the correct section, based on the generation of the Corvette.
We encourage new members to take some time to browse around the site and read the Announcements and Stickies as they contain important and frequently asked information.
