It allowed you to mark all forums read. Now I have to click on the Main forum and use the button there - extra step.

I'd rather have it where it was.

It's in the global navbar. Top-right corner under your username.

The vB menu has been retired. If you had noticed, there was several duplicate menus between the global navbar (top most bar) and the stock vB navbar. This change is to allow more content to be presented at the top of the page. There was a few menu options that weren't duplicated, and so are in new places. The CorvetteForum logo switcher, for example, is now in the User Control Panel rather than always shown on the page taking up content space.
