Search Function- I don't get it.
No matter what sesrch criteria I put in I seem to get "What did you do with your C5 today? ".
Not that it should matter but when someone asks a question they often get the an annoyed response: "Did you do a search? This has been discussed many times."

Google, which started out in the Search business, is very hard to compete against or match given their resources. Besides that, using the Search more wisely can yield better results. You can use the Advanced Search, select specific sections, add a specific username and post range to narrow down results.
Forum search on just about any site is almost always a source of complaint. Consider there is nearly 56 million posts on CorvetteForum. Each post will contain X amount of characters. All posts are readable and searchable. It would be difficult to show that one or ten posts you're looking for out of 56 million without some very specific criteria.
I've tried using Advanced Search, same results: What Did You Do With Your C5 Today, regardless of search criteria inputted, for my current search and past searches for various topics.
Google is definitely better but still can't find a decent post in looking for.
I'll plod along. No big deal.
Mostly venting.
Thanks for your help!
I would guess if you’re searching for something in a specific thread, go to the section that might have it and scroll through all the thread titles to find the one that might have what you’re looking for.
For this particular issue I just bit the bullet and asked on the Forum and got the replies I needed.
Thanks for the replies and help.
Glad you found it though.
