TPMS Sensor Problem
I am wondering if any other members have had this same issue and can help me. I have a 2001 with Z51 package and have had to replace the same Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor twice in a short period of time. In the message center, I get a "Service Tire Pressure Monitoring System" warning and I scroll through the gauges and get a reading for three of the wheels/tires but not the left rear. Now, I have the same message for the third time. I have replaced the same left rear tire pressure monitoring system sensor twice, but do not want to install a third sensor only to have it fail also.
I have randomly checked the tire pressures when there is no warning from the TPMS and get a reading from the left rear tire. Then, seemingly for no apparent reason, I will get the warning again and will not get a reading from the left rear tire.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this one of those issues that is known to occur with this year Corvette?
Any assistance at all will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance for even reading this.
