Default How to avoid being scammed

I have been here for decades and fortunately have had a very good experience over the years selling parts from numerous cars. In the C8 section there is now so many new members that its hard to determine who is safe and who is not. For instance I have a member who joined in Jul of this year claiming to be part of "Distinguished Motorsports" from Texas. I want to believe because I am a trusting guy. He wants to use Zelle which in all honesty would be my preference for the fact there arent fees BUT this is linked to my checking and savings. I am not aware of any way to scam someone via Zelle, any advice? Paypal could be an option with protection but again its linked. I have never worried about this. Perhaps now that the C8 is out we are going to see a new audience and they all arent bad.
