Just tried to post on one of the threads and it says my comment has to be approved by a Moderator, is this something new? TY...
We have an updated anti-spam filter that automatically scans and moderates any posts that appear to be spam. We've had the product before but there are a few, key, improvements. There will be some false-positives from time to time, as we continue to fine-tune the settings and the spammers adapt and require changes. The staff on CF is pretty quick to approve false-positives.

Is this anti-SPAM filter also herding what might be considered violent or threatening speech? I ask because I have a post stuck in administrator review, and in looking at what I posted, I suspect that a phrase is used in my post that an AI type filter might flag for that but that would be cleared once human intelligence reviews it in context.
So - I'm not necessarily claiming that you should not be monitoring for violent speech. I am simply asking if what you are calling a "SPAM filter" is looking for other things in addition to SPAM. I'm using the word SPAM to mean communications of "unsolicited bulk or commercial" nature. Perhaps you mean it in a less technical, more broad sense.
For your reference, my post in review was submitted to this thread:

My thread in the C8 General forum just disappeared after I got the Admin approval message when posting a reply. How do I contact an admin to approve?
The staff reviews and processes the queue, but there is a View Forum Leaders link (found at the bottom of the index page) with a list of Administrators: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/showgroups.php
It is strictly spam. The word you raise is a frequent spam keyword on may of our communities as well as in general.
I discussed it with Grumpy. I had wrongly assumed the problem in my post was "s******* to k***" (I'm adding asterisks to be able to discuss it here) - hence my question about "violent speech" vs. SPAM. It turns out the problem was "Tele****", which is the name of an app, and so I guess could be considered SPAM in case someone is promoting it by mentioning it. I wonder if all apps are included in some SPAM filters or just certain ones based on-who-knows-what reasoning.
Anyway - thanks again. It can't be easy herding all these cats.
