Lost my husband - the love of my life!
As many of you know from the OT pages, I lost my husband - SanDiegoPaul as you know him, on Monday, January 16th.
He passed away peacefully in my arms at home after battling brain cancer and the effects of a stroke throughout 2011. My heart feels like it has been ripped from my chest right now as this is so new. He fought bravely and with humor to the very end.
He enjoyed his Corvette before we had to sell it to be able to continue with his treatments. He also enjoyed his astronomy and taking pictures which you can view at http://www.deepskypixels.com
The CF was a great enjoyment for him and its members he considered friends even if you never met in person.
But most of all he enjoyed his life to the fullest with me, his wife Lorraine, who he called his beautiful bride up until he no longer spoke. Remember to tell those you love that you do every day!!
Blessings and love, Lorraine

As a person battling Leukemia I know the tragedy of Cancer. May you find peace and Hope in these difficult times. He was a lucky man to have you there for it all. Remember to just touch your Heart... you will feel him there!

Lorraine, you have my sincere condolences. Paul was well liked here and provided much inspiration to others. Cherish those few years you shared with him and that you and Paul came together

As many said on here I have never met him but could tell he was always one of the good guys. I always would look at the various threads posted for the day and see one of his astronomy posts and instantly know I had something cool to look at and learn about. He was definitely part of what makes CF fun. Sorry to hear about the loss and only wish his family and friends the best in getting through these times.

Lorraine,
My most sincere sympathy to you, family and friends.
The pain you feel today is no doubt overwhelming. Memories serve to soften those feelings, as time passes.
I had to go back in the archives and bring forward a quote from Paul, which I remembered from some years ago!
The original post was for members to recall from the current year, the most memorable experience. This was the response from Paul;
Well, the ABSOLUTE BEST MOMENT! of the year occured somewhere between 4P and 6P on January First this year. In the middle of the San Diego Bay, in a rented Yacht, Lorraine and I were married .
Paul will be missed here; God Bless.

I often daydream of driving out to SD to visit my 40 year old sons and their families.
I just knew on that trip we would run into Paul while in SD, it’s a Vette thing.
I won’t stop daydreaming, our prayers and thoughts, Mike
