You never know when a bombshell like this hits the OT.
I remember ragging on NN for years and then the news.
I'm gone for a while, pop back in and see this thread. Damn shame.
This place is so detached from reality, the place doesn't seem real but once in a while some dark stuff hits. Makes you wonder about the things you never find out. Like maybe Chas is being gang raped in prison as I type this...

i wish he was making it up. His struggle was real he cashed out 100k in 12 months on Heroin. You're right when you said way too many ifs. I been beating myself up all week

Damn', I knew it was a long shot , but I always hoped he could beat the addiction. He seemed to be a good soul and very open about his struggles, he loved his family. May you rest in peace Nubs, the demons are no more. I and many others here learned a lot from his open and frank conversations about his addiction, helpful information if we need to deal with the same situation.

I wouldn't wish an addiction on my worst enemy.
The only thing more disappointing than this gentleman's early passing is the number of g-ddamned idiots that want more drugs legal.
Addicts only stop when the pain outweighs the pleasure. Or they die.
Luckily Mr. Nubain's maker knew his cross was his addict.
Go rest high... on that mountain.

Don't beat yourself up, nothing you could say or do would have made him stop. He always thought it was a big joke and that nothing would happen. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I certainly am not.
The people I feel sorry for are his poor parents. He put them through a living hell for years. Sad to say, but now maybe they will be able to get some rest once the smoke clears.

Sounds like a lot of people tried to help, so don't because that stuff that's out there now, mixed with fentanyl and god knows what, it's just playing russian roulette. Nothing anybody could have done.

He was clean for 90 then I'm guessing went back to shooting his same amount and that's what killed him. He didn't do it on purpose based on how we found him. But he had court Monday morning for his felony conviction and 2 year probation sentencing.

Man, sad to read this tonight. I, like many others, enjoyed his posts and wisdom on skanks. He certainly was not your normal junkie. Just the way he postes on here, he always seemed very intelligent and articulate and managed to hold a decent job throughout all of his struggles.
It's unfortunate that he met his demise the way he anticipated he would. Pretty large odds stacked against him trying to beat addiction. I hope his parents can find peace.

I can't say I was really close to Nubian mostly because I do not post here alot, but my interactions with him were always positive as we both seem to have a passion for Health and Fitness. He seemed like and interesting guy but you could tell he was really battling. Again sorry for your loss.
As others have said you should stick around for awhile. Like any forum there are Trolls and Jackasses (you will figure that out pretty quick), but I can say in all of the years I have been here there are also some of the nicest folks you would ever meet and at times like this you get a better sense of the community that is CFOT.

he talked about the forum all the time. It was his escape often. You're right, he wasn't your typical junkie he was intelligent kind and a good dude. Like I said earlier Jaren never let the drugs change him he was the same dude always. He's in a better place now not fighting his demons
