New member....
I've been dropping in on the forum for several years but did not join. I am currently working on assignment in Guatemala. Before I left, I found a neighbor who got a deal on a 91 FX3 Coupe. He asked me if I wanted to buy it, but with too many vehicles I had to pass. Well, my son found it was for sale and worked a deal to trade a nice Ranger bass boat and some cash for the car. The Bose system had gone out, so he had a new system installed. He was leaving college one day and spun out, popped a curb and a small tree, breaking the hood behind the passenger wheel. He had the car fixed which included repainting the front and rear bumpers because the paint was cracked from a bad re-spray and he put on a new set of C6 repro 17" wheels. During my September assignment, I get an email from my son telling me his Mom was going to kill him because he found a smoking deal on a 17k T-top Z28. My sons have known forever that I wanted a Vette. When I went home in October for R&R, he said he had something for me. He presented me with new front and rear emblems and the keys to the Vette. Needless to say, I am one very happy Dad! Now I am a CF member and have already made some purchases from a supporting vendor and enjoy reading the C4 forums and others. Thanks Corvette Forum!

New member and Car story, not as good as Callaway story though
