New Motor
I just bought my first vette its a 1985. I had it for 2 days and took it back to the dealer I got it from, it ran really bad after I got it home. His mechanic said it needed a new motor. The dealer ordered a new G.M. crate motor and told me it was a replacement motor for an 85 corvette. I have the part# and serial#. Can anyone tell me if it is the correct motor for my vette?

I believe you got a square deal. That motor is rated for 260 hp at the crank and has four bolt mains. I know the 84 had two bolt mains but I'm not positive that the 85 also had them. That motor carries a 36 month 50,000 mile warrenty. It is the standard 350 replacement motor for most all older GM vehicles. Enjoy your new vette.
