I used to own a frost blue 59 back in the early 70's. Wish I still had it! I grew up in the Downriver Detroit area and went to College at Monroe County Community College for their Auotmotive Technology course where I was fortunate to have Jack Roush as an instructor. I've worked at Ford Motor R&D in Dearborn and built the first 4 Bricklins on surface plates at General Vehicle Corp. in Livonia, MI. Spent two years 78-80 turning wrenches at Ken's Vette shop in Saginaw, MI where I presently live. Since 1980 I've been working at Saginaw Machine Systems as an assembler, service tech, production control and project manager. We build precision metal turning lathes and our machines are used in making some of the parts in the new 6 speed automatic trans at GM-YTO.
The bug has hit again and I'll be ordering an '07 Atomic Orange coupe with the ebony int., automatic, 3lt package, chrome wheels and museum delivery. Looks like a pretty sweet deal with the GMS discount.
I'll be lurking around for a while until I can add something usefull to the discussion.
