New Z06-driver from Winston-Salem, NC
Hi everyone, I'm Scott Farmer. I'm a senior at Wake Forest University (go deacs!) and I'm originally from Orlando, FL. I used to have an 05 Subaru WRX STi (which is for sale, coincidentally), but my dad needed to get rid of his 2002 Z06. The payments are a little bit less on the Z06 (we bought it used), so it was a no-brainer for me to take it off his hands!
I've looked at a bunch of the different Corvette forums, and it looks like this one is the best. I've been lurking for the past couple months and I've already learned a great deal.
I've been autocrossing for almost three years now and I'm looking forward to running the Z06 in Super Stock locally. Already have the tire trailer, just have to get wheels, tires and a hitch! Anyway, here are some pics of her:

Welcome Scott,
Wow lower payments with a Z06 who would have figured. Enjoy your new ride. How does the Z06 compare to the Subie?
Yes I agree this IS the Best Corvette Forum!

Speed wise, obviously the STi is slower, but not as much as you'd think. Acceleration is very controlled in the STi, but in the Z06, it's like the hammer of God coming down! Personally, I like the Z06's power curve more.
I'm hoping that with a more aggressive alignment, the Z06 will handle like the STi, or at least close. Sticky R-Comps for the autocross course will help too!

My STi had coilovers, swaybars, camber plates and I drove with -3 degrees of front camber and -1 in the rear. It cornered and turned-in much better than the Z06 does, but the AWD and camber helps a lot with that!
