Hello all, glad to become a member of this forum! I just ordered an '07 coupe that is slated for production on 1/8. I live in Chicago and the dealer said I should take deliverly of it within ten days of production. I was thinking of going to Bowling Green on the day of production. What do you guys think my chances are of actually seeing mine getting built? If the chances are slim, I won't make the trek.

Vapor Trail,
You may want to go to the BG Assembly Plant website for some tour information. If you did not schedule a Corvette Museum Delivery I think you can still get (for a price) a private tour called a Buyers Tour. I think you need to contact the National Corvette Museum for this option. Best of luck and congrats on your new Corvette order.

NCM Tour
Welcome aboard Vapor Trail,
Call the NCM as soon as possible to discuss options with them for either the Buyer's tour while your car is "on the line" or if it is not too late the NCM delivery (this has to be arranged in coordination with your selling dealer and the Museum). My wife and I did the delivery in Oct and it was a highlight of my life. You won't regret doing either one (some owners even do both - talk about lucky!).
Good luck with the car and congratulations.
Save the Wave!
Thank you for the very warm welcome! I look forward to sharing my vette experience, pics, etc (when I get it, which will be the third week in Jan!) Damn! Seems for far away! Oh well, will be in touch.
Peace, and Happy New Year to all! VT
why can't they guarantee you can see your car being built? They cannot guarantee you see it going thru the line, or even seeing it at ALL. I think that kinda sucks, especially after you paid all that money for the car AND even more big $$$ for the tour.
I agree. For me, the closest place to fly into is Nashville, which is still about 60 miles from Bowling Green. A gaurantee would be nice after you go through the trouble of plane tickets, rent-a-car etc!
