I have had the pleasure of owning C-1, C-2, and C-3 cars in my past but I have owned this Ontario Orange 72 coupe for 21 years bought from the original owner in Mass. The car has had its minor problems but this wiper thing is not good. At first the valence door opened but caught the wipers against the windshield when closing but lately the panel opens but the wipers lie there dead and will not move. Can anyone give me any diagnostics on this? It will not pass PA inspection in the spring this way not to mention it is dangerous. Thanks!
I have a 1970. the wiper door on mine when it opened the contact did not turn on the wipers. try checking the door contact that activates the wipers. good luck. let me know if i can be any more help.
Check the switch located on the firewall. There should be a plunger that pushes in a button when the wiper door is open. The switch is supposed to keep the wipers from working until the wiper door is fully opened.
Feel free to email me at scott@thespark.us I might be able to help.
Posting on the C3 board will get you lots of help too.
