First Corvette
I've been a member of the forum for a couple of months. I've got the order in for my first Corvette which I've wanted since I was 14 (22 years!). The forum has been a great help in deciding what options to get such as the F55 suspension, navigation system and so on. Most importantly it helped me find a dealer in my state (Florida) that would give me a good discount. 
I'm doing the museum delivery option, I've been thinking of also doing the special factory tour but I am not sure if it is worth doing in addition to the museum delivery option.
Despite my username here I'm not getting a Z06, I'll be getting a coupe.
Thanks to everyone who shares their information and experiences on this site, I hope to do the same.

Welcome from Bay Area CA.
You are going to really like your car. I know I do. I got my 07 C6 Z51 in five weeks from order. I am still smiling my butt off.
I signed up for high performance driving school at a really great raceway, (3mi road course) so i could really feel what this car is all about. The best thing I ever did when it came to driving a car. I have a greater respect for C6.
I hope you really enjoy your vette expierence. 2nd gear at 6K is awesome, so is 3rd and 4th...... Play safe.

As you know, we have LOTS of good top-off weather here in Florida. All summer I have been driving my vert with the top down, and the A/C blasting

- 3rd gear at 6,000 sounds like fun :-)
- A few weeks seems like nothing after waiting so many years, it's a weird feeling to wait to these few weeks after wanting it for so long!
- Florida has great weather but we don't have to many curves or hills here in South Florida :-(
