I'm a Swede 42 years young. Looking to buy my first Corvette. Now to the question C3 or C5? When it comes to a C3 I’m looking for a 69 – 72convertible. The C5 i would like is 02 - 04 Z06. The stupid thing when buying a car from US when living in Sweden is that I will have to pay something like 35% on a C5 in taxes and customs. When it comes to a C3 you have to pay 25% because it’s older than 30 years. So what should I go for?

My vote is for the C3....but that is what I would like. Saves money and certainly will appreciate fast. You must do what you want. Good luck in your decision making, any Vette is a good choice for fun!
