Hello all! I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I'm fairly new to the forum, in fact fairly new to the Corvette Community in general. A bit about myself: my name is Steve, as my profile says, I am from La Crosse Wisconsin, and am a true corvette nut. . .I love 'em, every one of them! Last spring, i finally got the opportunity to buy one, a 1979 L-82 with 26k, nothing spectacular compared to some of your cars, but I still love it. I look forward to talking to you guys (and gals)and learning a lot about my car. . . seems like there are a lot of people on the forum that know a lot about Corvettes. Anyway, just wanted to say "hi!"
Corvette forum is a great place to learn, debate, and enjoy your Corvette regardless of what year you drive. Awesome looking 79. Great to have you… Welcome!
Thanks to all for such a warm welcome. As for the "save the wave" I think that is a great article. I learned the importance of the wave during my first corvette ride when I was about 11 years old, my brother in law took me for a ride in his 78 silver anniversary, he said ya always had to alert your passenger by saying "corvette alert" before passing another Corvette, then of course wave as we passed. I never realized it was such an important aspect of Corvette ownership until owning my own Corvette.
