Hello,I found this forum by mistake and it's the best mistake I ever made.I hail from Davie Florida and am the proud owner of a 1977 C3/L48 thats been in my family since the day it left the Chevy Dealer. My Grandfather bought the car for my Grandmother on her birthday in the summer of 1977 and as a child I rode in this car countless times and always loved it.When my Grandfather passed away in 2001 he left me the Corvette knowing I would never sell it and always keep it in our family.I started the restoration process in 2002 with a complete motor and tranny rebuild and replaced the entire brake system to get the car road worthy again becasue after it had sat for a few years it just didnt want to run right.I'm now into the electrical system and replacing 29 year old wires and what not.My goal is to have the car up to daily driver status by the summer of 2007 as a tribute to the Man who left me the best car I would ever own.You folks have a really nice Forum here and i'm glad to have run across it.

Welcome to the Forum. That's a great history story regarding your Vette. Enjoy the restoring and driving it. In time, you'll make your Grandfather proud!
Happy motoring, and stay safe.
See ya, , Bob

I love the look of side pipes.I have cosidered doing a sidepipes system in the not so far future. In florida we dont have emissions inspections anymore so I could run them without much notice exept for the sound.
Turk Newbomb " where have I heard that name before ? "
Perhaps in a movie called "The Hollywood Knights"? I picked the name as a tribute to the main character of the movie,or maybe from another forum.I have used this name on other forums over the years.
